Mrs. Abeer Odeh, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Italy. Father Ibrahim Faltas, Advisor of the custody of the Holy Land. Mr. Anton Salman, Mayor of Bethlehem and member of the committee participated in the lighting of the World’s largest Christmas tree (Mount Ingino Christmas Tree) outside the city of Gubbio, in Umbria region in Italy.
During his speech, Dr.Khoury conveyed the greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas and congratulated everyone in the name of the Palestinian people , hoping that peace will come to Palestine, the birthplace of Christ and the whole world, affirming the right of the Palestinian people to live in peace and dignity in which the Israeli occupation robs the joy of its holidays.
The Mount Ingino Christmas Tree is the largest Christmas tree in the world .It is 650 metres high and 350 m wide at its base and consists of 3000 multi-coloured lights; the tree was switched on remotely by Father Francesco Patton from the Nativity Church in Bethlehem.
