His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas, The President of the State of Palestine, received an invitation to attend the Orthodox Christmas celebrations and midnight mass from Theophilos III, The Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem.
This came during a meeting at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah with the delegation from the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, headed by His Eminence Archbishop Theophylactos, the Patriarchal Vicar in the city of Bethlehem along with Father Issa Musleh, the official spokesperson for the Patriarchate.
His Excellency welcomed the kind invitation, affirming his eagerness to attend this important celebration which is considered a national holiday for the Palestinian people.
