The Higher Presidential Committee of Churches Affairs in Palestine condemned the aggression of the Israeli occupation police against worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque after they performed the dawn prayer today, while settlers were burning a mosque in the south of occupied Jerusalem.
In a statement issued by Dr. Ramzi Khoury, President of the committee and Director General of the Palestinian National Fund, “These crimes and systematic violations against Islamic and Christian holy sites are an extension of the Israeli occupations’ policy and extremist settlers in trying to judaize the city”.
The Committee called on international institutions and human rights defenders to intervene and stop these violations directed against places of worship and worshipers who are denied of their freedom of worship, which is a flagrant violation of human rights and international laws.
