The Higher Presidential Committee of Churches Affairs condemns the settler attacks on the Latin Patriarchate’s property in Tayasir.

The Higher Presidential Committee of churches affairs represented by its President, Minister Dr. Ramzi Khoury, condemned the settler attacks on the property owned by the Latin Patriarchate in Tayasir Palestinian village in the Tubas Governorate in the northern West Bank.

Dr.Khoury in a statement, “This is not the first time that church properties are being subject to clear violations, this is a crime that should not be tolerated. The settler attacks with the protection of the Israeli police are a clear attempt to illegally control and annex Palestinian lands such as this one, given its strategic importance, being a gateway to the Jordan valley”.

According to a statement issued by the Latin Patriarchate in Jerusalem, thousands of Israeli settlers broke into the Patriarchate’s property in Tayasir .The Patriarchate condemned this attack and violation, and expressed its deep concerns, noting the failure of the occupying power to put an end to such violations.
