On the 51st anniversary of the burning of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Dr. Ramzi Khoury, President of the Committee and the General Director of the Palestinian National Fund, stated: “It is the responsibility of all believers and all Arab and Muslim countries around the world to protect the Islamic and Christian sanctities ofJerusalem, which will remain the eternal capital of the State of Palestine.
Jerusalem, with its Churches and Mosques, with its people and its historical, cultural and religious heritage, is being subjected to systematic Israeli aggression, and it is in grave danger, we require doubling the financial and political Arab support for our people to strengthen our steadfastness here.
As we evoke this heinous crime that targeted the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Palestinians are being targeted again but this time from an Arab country that decided to normalize its relations with the Israeli occupation and recognizing its sovereignty over Palestinian lands and our sanctities”.
The committee welcomed the position of the Palestinian leadership, in rejecting and denouncing the UAE agreement with Israel, which violates the decisions of the Arab summits and the Arab Peace Initiative and denies the legitimate rights of our people.
The committee also expressed its great appreciation to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and His Majesty King Abdullah II, in defending the rights of our people and protecting Jerusalem with its Islamic and Christian sanctities, calling on the Arab nation to defend Jerusalem that is under unprecedented attacks.
