The President receives an invitation to attend the Christmas Midnight Mass.

The President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, greeted on Thursday evening at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, Fr. Francesco Patton, theCustos of the Holy Land and Fr. Ibrahim Faltas, advisor to the Custodian of the Holy Land, where they handed him an invitation to attend the Christmas EveMass and presented him with an appreciation plaque.

The president warmly congratulated the Palestinianpeople, Christians and Muslims and the world on the glorious Christmas holidays, wishing that peace would prevail in Palestine, the land of peace.

Fr. Patton conveyed the greetings of His Holiness, Pope Francis, who spared no efforts to achieve peace in the region.

For the precautionary measures concerning COVID-19 pandemic, the midnight prayers will be limited to priests only and the mass will broadcast live on the National Palestinian Television.

The meeting was attended by Ziad Abu Amr, Deputy Prime Minister and member of the PLO Executive Committee. Nabil Abu Rudeineh, Presidentialspokesperson. Majdi Khaldi ,Senior Diplomatic Advisor to the President and Issa Kassissieh, Palestinian ambassador to the Vatican and member of the Higher Presidential Committee of Churches Affairs.
