President Mahmoud Abbas expressed today his best wishes to His Holiness Pope Francis and all Christians around the world on the occasion of Christmas.
In his letter, His Excellency said, “We are pleased to extend to your Holiness the most beautiful heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of Christmas, wishing your Holiness health and happiness. May God protect you and the whole World from the Coronavirus pandemic, which due to the strict safety measures prevented us from celebrating this holy occasion. With great hope, we will continue to believe that justice and peace will triumph in Palestine, whose blessed city of Bethlehem witnessedthe birth of the lord Jesus. At this time, with the holiday spirit all around us, we fondly recall the wooden relic of Jesus manger which you kindly gave us last year”.
