The Higher Presidential Committee for Churches Affairs in Palestine expresses profound gratitude for the Holy See’s unwavering support to the Palestinian people, particularly in providing medical care for sick and wounded children from Gaza.
Referring to the transfer of 11 sick and wounded Palestinian Children affected by Israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza, who will receive medical treatment at the Vatican’s run Bambino Gesù hospital in Rome, alongside several other Italian hospitals, member of the PLO Executive Committee and Head of the Higher Presidential Committee for Churches Affairs in Palestine, Dr. Ramzi Khouri, lauds the consistent and steadfast support of the Holy See and His Holiness Pope Francis to the Palestinian people.
In a heartful message to Abuona website, the Palestinian Ambassador to the Holy See and member of the Higher Presidential Committee for Churches Affairs in Palestine, Mr. Issa Kassissieh expresses gratitude to the Holy See, the head of the Bambino Gesù hospital, and to all the parties involved, acknowledging their collective efforts in facilitating the transfer of innocent children, who have fallen victim to war. He also expressed his hope over this initiative, emphasizing its alignment with the Pope’s call for a two-state solution, aimed at achieving peace and justice.
Father Ibrahim Faltas, Deputy Custodian of the Holy Land, who personally received the children, reveals that numerous requests were received from individuals willing to contribute and assist in rescuing and aiding the wounded. He stresses that this initiative marks a “pivotal step towards peace, demanding attentive listening and humility.”
