Member of the PLO Executive Committee and Head of the Higher Presidential Committee for Churches Affairs in Palestine, Dr. Ramzi Khouri held a meeting with members of the Armenian Orthodox Church of Jerusalem.
During the meeting, the delegation provided Dr. Khouri with updates on the current situation in the Armenian quarter, highlighting attempts by Israel and extreme settlers to lay control over sections of the neighborhood, in addition to provocative actions targeting the Armenian community in Jerusalem.
Khouri affirmed that the Armenian Quarter is an integral part of Jerusalem’s Christian heritage and identity. He reiterated his commitments to preserving it and praised the members of the delegation for their dedication and efforts in defending Church properties and resisting Israel’s plans.
