During his visit to St. George Church in al-Khader, near Bethlehem, Khouri Stressed, “Preserving our Palestinian Christian Heritage and Identity is Paramount”

Member of the PLO Executive Committee and Head of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, Dr. Ramzi Khouri emphasized that safeguarding the Palestinian Christian presence stands as a cornerstone priority for the Presidential Committee. This objective is pursued through the robust empowerment of Church institutions, which serve the Palestinian community as a whole.

These statements were articulated during a visit to one of the Committee-backed projects benefiting the Orthodox St. George Church in al-Khader, near Bethlehem.

During the visit, Khouri met with the Archimandrite Porphyrios, Head of the Monastery of St. George, and greeted children attending Sunday School, which the Church offers.

Khouri was accompanied by Jihad Khair, a member of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Paelstine, and Raed Hanania, director of public relations and media at the Committee.
