Member of the PLO Executive Committee and Head of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, Dr. Ramzi Khouri, met with Archimandrite Vassian (Zmeyev), Head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem at his office in Bethlehem.
Archimandrite Vassian (Zmeyev) praised the State of Palestine’s under the leadership of President Mahmoud Abbas, commitment to preserving and safeguarding Churches and their properties, as well as, supporting their mission in providing services for the Palestinian people.
The meeting was attended by Yury Romashuk, the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission’s advisor in Palestine, and Hisham Rahhal, the mission’s legal advisor. Additionally, members of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, Dr. Samir Hazboun, Amira Hanania, and Jihad Khair, along with Raed Hanania, director of public relations and media, were in attendance.
