More than 200 Christian leaders from an array of traditions have signed a letter calling to institute a permanent Gaza Ceasefire, halt of arms sales to Israel, and prevent broader regional war. In addition, the letter calls for an unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid to civilians, and the release of hostages and prisoners.
The letter comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visits the U.S., where he addressed Congress on Wednesday and expected to meet with U.S. officials.
Signatories urged world powers to end complicity in the ongoing violence and atrocities committed in Gaza. They called on world leaders to step forward with courageous and creative leadership to work for peace.
