Member of the PLO Executive Committee and head of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, Dr. Ramzi Khouri, has praised the commendable efforts of His Beatitude Theophilos III, Patriarch of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy City of Jerusalem and His Beatitude John X, Patriarch of the Greek Orthodox Church of Antioch and all the East. The Patriarchs have advocated for enhancing collaboration between the two churches to strengthen the Christian presence in the Middle East and to work collectively with global churches towards achieving peace, stability, and security in the region
Dr. Khouri highlighted that this noble stance is crucial for safeguarding the Christian presence, particularly in the face of numerous challenges and the rising tide of Christian migration from various countries. He further emphasized that this initiative will significantly bolster the resilience of Christians across the Middle East.
Dr. Khouri also noted that fostering unity between the two churches paves the way for enhanced cooperation not only between them but also with churches worldwide.
