Dr. Ramzi Khouri, Member of the PLO Executive Committee and Head of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, visited the construction site of the Saint John of Damascus Orthodox Church in Beit Sahour. He was by accompanied Minister of Tourism Hani Hayek, Beit Sahour Mayor Dr. Elias Eseed, as well as representatives of Orthodox organizations.
Dr. Khouri commended the residents of Beit Sahour, both within Palestine and in the diaspora, for their steadfast commitment and generous contributions toward the realization of this significant project. He noted that the church’s public facilities will serve the entire community, offering spaces for scouts, youth programs, and a variety of church and social activities.
He further emphasized that such initiatives are vital for reinforcing the resilience of the Palestinian Christian community in Palestine and ensuring the preservation of their heritage and identity.
Dr. Khouri was joined by Dr. Khouloud Daibes and Jihad Khair, members of committee, along with Raed Hanania, Director of Media and Public Relations.
