Dr. Khouri Represents President Mahmoud Abbas at the Christmas Mass of the Episcopal Evangelical Church

On behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas, Dr. Ramzi Khouri, member of the PLO Executive Committee and Head of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, participated in the Christmas Mass of the Episcopal Evangelical Church in Bethlehem. The service was attended by a Representative of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordanian Ambassador Issam Al-Budour, the Patriarchal Representative, and Bishop of Greek Orthodox Nativity Church Metropolitan Benedictus, along with a distinguished gathering of ambassadors, diplomatic representatives, and prominent figures.

The mass, held at St. George’s Church within the Nativity Church, was presided by Archbishop Hosam Naoum of the Episcopal Evangelical Church. In his address, Archbishop Naoum extended warm greetings to President Mahmoud Abbas, commending his steadfast dedication to the well-being of the Palestinian people.

Bishop Naoum also shed light on the ongoing plight of Palestinians in Gaza amidst the Israeli war, with particular emphasis on the suffering of children who are denied their fundamental rights to safety, stability, and the simple joys of childhood and education. He called for intensified international efforts to end the war and bring about a just and lasting peace.
