Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs Joins Mass with Diplomats and Brazilian Foreign Ministry Representatives

During the mass, a commemorative gift was presented to the Archdiocese of Brasilia.

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and a member of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shaheen, participated in a solemn mass led by His Eminence Cardinal Paulo Cezar Costa, Archbishop of Brasilia. The event was attended by the Palestinian Ambassador to Brazil, Ibrahim Al-Zeben, alongside diplomats, representatives of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a distinguished gathering of academics and professors from various educational institutions in the Brazilian capital.

During the service, prayers were offered for peace and stability in Palestine, with a special focus on Jerusalem, the cradle of religions, highlighting the vital role of fostering coexistence, tolerance, and mutual understanding among nations.

On this occasion, Minister Aghabekian Shaheen presented a Palestinian cross to the Archdiocese of Brasilia. Designed by Palestinian-Colombian artist Enrique Gedi, the cross stands as a powerful symbol of faith, resilience, and the enduring bonds of brotherhood among nations. This meaningful gesture was made in collaboration with the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs.

Cardinal Paulo Cezar Costa expressed his deep appreciation for the initiative, underscoring the significance of international solidarity and the promotion of dialogue and peaceful coexistence as essential pillars for achieving justice and lasting peace.
