Nablus Council of Churches Congratulates Khouri on Christmas

Dr. Ramzi Khouri, member of the PLO Executive Committee and Head of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, received a delegation from the Nablus Council of Churches in Ramallah, which extended its Christmas and New Year greetings.

The delegation included representatives of the Orthodox, Latin, Episcopal, and Catholic churches in Nablus, as well as representatives of the Orthodox Association and the Scout movement. The meeting was attended on behalf of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs by committee member Mousa Hadid, Acting Director General Hadeel Mashreqi, and Director of Public Relations and Media Raed Hanania.

During the meeting, the Council commended the pivotal role played by the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in supporting the authentic Christian presence in the Holy Land, and highlighted key challenges facing the Palestinian people.

Dr. Khouri reaffirmed the Committee’s unwavering commitment to continued coordination and partnership with churches and relevant institutions to safeguard the Christian presence and protect its historical, national, and spiritual role. He also stressed the importance of national unity, which is vividly reflected during the Christmas celebrations.
