The Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine participated in the launch of the “A Thousand and One Christmas Gifts” campaign, organized by the Orthodox Culture and Education Center in Beit Jala in cooperation with the Beit Jala Greek Orthodox Youth Group. The event was held in front of St. Nicholas Church and brought together wide community participation.
The celebration featured scouting activities, artistic performances, and Christmas hymns that filled the atmosphere with joy and warmth, reflecting the spirit of love and giving that characterizes the Christmas season. Children, youth, and residents of Beit Jala took part in the event, reaffirming the strong sense of community and shared celebration.
The Committee was represented by its members, Dr. Samir Hazboun and Dr. Kholoud Daibes, underscoring the Committee’s commitment to supporting community-based and youth initiatives that foster hope, joy, and social cohesion. The participation reflects the humanitarian and national dimensions of such initiatives, in line with the message of Christmas centered on peace and hope, and contributes to strengthening the authentic and historic Christian presence in Palestine, particularly amid the challenging circumstances facing the Palestinian people.
This participation comes as part of the Higher Presidential Committee’s ongoing approach to supporting meaningful community activities and strengthening partnerships with civil and cultural institutions, in a way that serves the people of Palestine and reinforces societal resilience and unity.
