Representing Dr. Ramzi Khouri, Member of the PLO Executive Committee and Head of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, Dr. Samir Hazboun, member of the Committee, participated in the celebration of the solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, held at the Sacred Heart Salesian Church in Bethlehem.
The solemn Mass was presided over by His Excellency Bishop William Shomali, Patriarchal Vicar of Jerusalem, and concelebrated by priests, monks, and nuns, in the presence of official and religious dignitaries, as well as a large congregation from across the Bethlehem Governorate.
During the liturgy, prayers were offered for peace and justice in the Holy Land and for the Palestinian people, reaffirming the enduring values of love, hope, and human solidarity.
Following the Mass, a prayerful procession made its way from the Salesian Parish to the Church of the Nativity, led by the Salesian Scout Group and other scout troops, with the participation of a large number of faithful. The procession reflected the profound spiritual significance of the occasion and the strong sense of faith and community that it inspires.
