On behalf of Dr. Ramzi Khouri, Member of the PLO Executive Committee and Head of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, Mr. Ghassan Mustaklem participated in a reception hosted by the British Consulate General in Jerusalem to celebrate the official birthday of His Majesty King Charles III. The event was attended by diplomatic, official, and religious figures, as well as representatives of national and civil society institutions.
Hosted by British Consul General Helen Winterton at her official residence in Jerusalem, the reception provided an opportunity to engage with members of the diplomatic community and reaffirm the importance of continued dialogue with accredited international missions. The Committee’s participation also reflected its support for international efforts aimed at advancing justice and achieving a just and lasting peace based on international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, while safeguarding the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
During the reception, Mr. Mustaklem conveyed Dr. Khouri’s greetings and underscored the importance of sustained international engagement in support of Palestinian rights. He also stressed the urgent need to protect both Muslim and Christian holy sites and to preserve the authentic Palestinian presence in Jerusalem and throughout the occupied Palestinian territory.
