Representing Dr. Ramzi Khouri, Member of the PLO Executive Committee and Head of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, Committee Member Jihad Khair and Director of Public Relations and Media Raed Hanania attended the opening of the fifth edition of the Palestine International Theatre Festival for Children, held today in Bethlehem and organized by Al-Harah Theatre.
The opening featured the “Yalla Yalla” street carnival, which set off from the Antonian Charitable Society and made its way through the streets of Bethlehem before arriving at the outdoor theatre of Bethlehem University. During the opening celebrations, Khair and Hanania received a recognition award on behalf of the Higher Presidential Committee.
The fifth edition of the Palestine International Theatre Festival for Children brings together a number of theatre groups and artists and features a diverse program of theatrical and artistic performances and activities dedicated to children.
The Higher Presidential Committee reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Palestinian cultural and community initiatives, particularly those that promote the arts and culture, and to strengthening their presence and role within Palestinian society.
