General Director of the Palestinian National Fund and President of the Higher Presidential Committee of Church Affairs in Palestine Dr. Ramzi Khoury condemns the crimes of ethnic cleansing being carried out by Israel in Wadi al-Hummus in Sur Bahir, occupied Jerusalem.
Dr. Khoury in a statement issued today “the crime of demolishing 100 apartments and the displacement of its inhabitants violate all international peace agreements and international and humanitarian laws.
Dr. Khoury called on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to hold Israel accountable for such blatant violations of its resolutions and international human rights laws.
Dr.Khoury stressed that this war crime, must be open to investigation, especially from the International Criminal Court which is a crime that is inseparable from the policy of ethnic cleansing carried out by Israel against the city of occupied Jerusalem since 1967 until now.
His Excellency Dr. Khoury emphasized that the crimes of the demolition of Palestinian homes throughout the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in the city of Jerusalem, are inseparable from the policy of Judaization of Islamic and Christian holy sites. The issue of Bab al-Khalil (Jaffa Gate) is a living witness to the insistence of the Israeli occupation to move forward with these racist policies aimed at emptying the city of its indigenous population.
