The Higher Presidential Committee of Churches Affairs, represented by its President, HE Dr. Ramzi Khoury, the Director General of the Palestinian National Fund, accepted the invitation of Bethlehem University and visited its campus.
The delegation was welcomed by Dr.Michael Sansur, Executive Vice President of Bethlehem University. Mr. Isaac Sahhar, Assistant Vice President for Advancement .Dr. Walid Al-Shomali, Chairman of the Printing and Publishing Committee. Dr. Said Ayad, Chairman of the International Conferences Committee, and Mr. George Rishmawi, Media Manager.
Dr. Khoury expressed his happiness and praised the role of the University in building a conscious generation, he stressed the support of the Committee and the National Fund for the Education Sector, and expressed his readiness to support any projects that advance the education. ”We will do our utmost to implement the needs of the university, we praise its importance as a long-established university that graduated a number of cadres of the Palestinian society at the political and professional level”.
Moreover, Dr. Khoury stressed the importance of the role of the university in the celebrations of “Bethlehem, the capital of culture 2020”, which will show the culture, coexistence and cohesion of the social fabric in the city.
The Committee conveys to the world a picture of the enlightenment of the Palestinian people being a united body with different religious affiliations, away from the obscurantism that the occupation seeks to normalize in all of its citizens.
