The Higher Presidential Committee of Churches Affairs meets with Group Scout Leaders in the Bethlehem Governorate.

Dr. Ramzi Khoury, President of the Committee and Director General of the Palestinian National Fund along with Jihad Kheir, Mayor of Beit Sahour and Ambassador Amira Hanania, the General Manager of the Committee, met with Group Scout Leaders of the Bethlehem Governorate in the presence of Mr. Yusuf Musalim, Chairman of the Bethlehem Scout Commission in preparation for the Christmas arrangements in the city.

In his speech, Dr. Ramzi Khoury welcomed the scout leaders and introduced the work of the committee with its aims to preserve the rooted Christian presence in Palestine.

His Excellency expressed the readiness of the Committee to provide any necessary support needed to the scout groups, especially in light of preparations for the Christmas festivities, stressing the importance of the participation of scout groups on this national holyday, which would spread joy and happiness in the hearts of all from the cradle of Christ.

The Group Scout Leaders welcomed this visit and appreciated the continuous efforts of the committee in securing musical equipment for the scout groups and renovating some of its headquarters and buildings. Attendees praised the Committee’s keenness in preserving the Christian presence and halting the immigration of the youth.
